Our Therapists
A Physical Therapist inspired the Amtryke project and today Physical and Occupational Therapists still play a vital role. Each chapter works with local therapists, who identify children that would benefit from an adaptive tryke and make sure those children are correctly and safely fitted to the best Amtryke for them. Many therapists become chapter members and many chapters are formed with therapists at the core.
Our Trykes
The Amtryke Therapeutic Tricycle Program is about abilities, not disabilities. Our goal is to provide access to all the classic benefits of riding a bike: mobility, strength, exercise, coordination, interaction with family and friends, and just pure fun! Parents, recipients, and therapists have noted that the Amtryke not only provides improved strength, tone, and coordination but also confidence and positive peer interaction. We manufacture foot trykes and hand trykes in a wide range of sizes. Nearly every rider can be successful, no matter their diagnosis, through our full line of highly adjustable trykes and a myriad of adaptive accessories.
